Mission Statement
Little City Roller Derby is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to promoting and competing in the sport of flat-track roller derby. Along with our dedication to the sport, LCRD strives to be a positive local influence through community outreach and charitable donations. We aim to promote physical and mental strength among all of our members and across the community. We also serve as role models for developing junior roller derby athletes. We are members of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) and follow their rules for organizational structure, member league responsibilities, and gameplay.
About Little City Roller Derby
Founded in August 2007, Little City Roller Derby is the area's first flat-track roller derby team and continues to bring the revitalized sport of roller derby to Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and have supported numerous charitable causes in the region including Abuse Alternatives, Feed the Fire, Second Harvest Food Bank, and Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

LCRD welcomes skaters from all backgrounds and skill levels. Our annual skater boot camp provides training ranging from basic skating skills to full-contact scrimmages. Our chartered skaters have competed in bouts from Ohio to Florida, and we have had several skaters selected for the Tennessee All-Stars team.
Our season runs from March through October, with practices twice a week and one bout per month. New skater boot camp is held during the off-season. In addition to our official schedule, we hold regular team bonding events and team meetings to collectively decide on the direction of the team for the upcoming year. We are continuing to grow and develop and are excited about what the future holds!

Get Involved
LCRD hosts new skater boot camp annually from October to February, but we are always looking for volunteers to provide day-of help with bouts. If you are interested in joining as a skater, referee, non-skating official, or volunteer, please reach out!
